Riviera, Maritimo, and Axopar are the big names headlining the show, with Riviera’s acclaimed 52 Enclosed Flybridge sure to attract plenty of attention.

Powered by common-rail electronic 725hp D11 Volvo Penta engines with IPS2 pod drives, and loaded with new-generation tech features such as a Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) which is a GPS virtual anchor, joystick docking from various stations, digital switching, and integrated Garmin Glass Helm electronics, the 52 represents Riviera’s crop of new high quality builds making an impact on world markets.

Local high-profile dealer eyachts will have two of the extremely popular range of Axopar centre console sports boats for inspection. Strongly built, Axopar from Finland, are proving a big hit with discerning buyers who love the wide array of configurations the boats come in; such as open, hardtop and cabin versions.

Well-known boating industry figure, Peter Hrones, formerly Managing Director of Team Windcraft, is now concentrating on the stable of brands offered by eyachts, and says an Axopar 28 and 37 will be available for showgoers to look over. Hrones is confident the Axopars, with their RIB like performance in excess of 40 knots, without the maintenance, will gain a big following here.

Marine industry experts will be on hand to share tips and advice, plus there’ll be displays showcasing the latest in marine accessories, including leading electronics maker, Garmin. The fun factor in boating will be catered for, with Fun Air, who make cool toys such floating trampolines, slides, platforms and climbing walls.

For those interested in the brokerage side, there will be a number of quality boats available. Now is a great time to start planning your next boat purchase, with many owners putting their craft on the market at bargain prices.

It won’t be all about boats though, with luxury car marques Ferrari, Maserati and Lexus displaying their hottest new models. Maserati is intending to bring its Levante model, the trident badge’s first SUV, to the show.

There will be plenty of kids’ activities including face painting, balloon twisters, a jumping castle and complimentary food and drinks.

With its secluded clear water bays, fringed by national park, Pittwater north of Sydney is a world-class boating location, and is the perfect venue for a boat show. Organisers, RMarine Pittwater say the intention is for the Pittwater Boat Show to become an annual event.

Entry to the show is free.
