The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will celebrate a bumper 30th anniversary edition from 24-27 May, with organisers predicting its best turnout in 10 years.

Prominent marine brands have rushed to secure prime positions on water as well as throughout The Marine Village and in the Pavilions. A mix of long-term exhibitors and new brands are already confirmed including Beneteau, Jeanneau, Hanse, Lagoon, Dragonfly, Seawind and Bali.
SCIBS exhibition manager Dominic O’Brien said visitors to SCIBS will experience a gamut of international brands and new models, with many offering crossover performance potential for owners who wish to cruise and compete in regattas.
“The Gold Coast is considered the gateway to the Whitsundays and the Reef with their pristine cruising grounds, so it makes sense for people to gravitate to SCIBS to see the world’s most popular catamarans and sailing yachts, so they can fulfil their cruising dreams,” Mr O’Brien said.
“Whether mono or multihull, sailing or power, and an unparalleled selection of electronics, accessories and destinations, there will be something for everyone at SCIBS.

On water, Multihull Central will display six models in total – their biggest display in 19 years of boat shows – including the Australian debut of Seawind 1190 Sport.
Ensign Ship Brokers will also have information on the new sailing Sealine C45 and C50, replacing the cruiser 46 and 51 and available in 3 variations, Style, Ambition and Holiday, arriving later in 2018, and the Bavaria power model the E34 sedan.
Representing Bali catamarans, Dream Yacht Charters will display the Bali 4.0 Banjo, a popular charter yacht in the Whitsundays.
The Multihull Group will have the sensational 450 Lagoon on show, alongside its European power brands Axopar, Fjord, Greenline and Sealine, and a VIP lounge on a floating pontoon.
Boasting stability, volume and ease of use, multihulls have seen a rapid surge in popularity across demographics, ticking boxes for sailing and powerboat devotees as they cater for the bluewater cruising, performance, charter and live-aboard buyers.
SCIBS will also feature the latest navigation and electrical equipment from B&G, Raymarine and Coursemaster, hardware and winches from Ronstan and Muir, and sailing apparel from Musto.
