The newly released photographs show Simena under full sail, making between 8.5 and 9.5 knots in winds of 13 to 16 knots, with the yacht heeling gracefully as she cuts through the water.

Since entering service, Simena has completed an active cruising programme across the Mediterranean, visiting Monaco, Genoa, Palma de Mallorca, Saint-Tropez and Imperia.

During her first season, the yacht has logged approximately 3,250 nautical miles, including a non-stop 1,200-nautical-mile delivery passage from Fethiye to Monaco, a 400-nautical-mile offshore crossing between the Strait of Messina and Cap Corse, and a 380-nautical-mile open-water passage between Kythira and the Messina Strait.

Currently cruising in the South of France, Simena is expected to continue along the French Riviera before a possible visit to Portofino and northern Sardinia during the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup from 6 to 12 September.

She is then scheduled to return to Monaco ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show from 23 to 26 September, where she is expected to be among the largest sailing superyachts on display.

Designed inside and out to blend classic sailing yacht aesthetics with contemporary technology, Simena features exterior design and naval architecture by Istanbul-based Taka Yacht Design, with interiors by Design Unlimited. At 62 metres, she ranks among the 25 longest sailing superyachts in the world.

Her ketch rig carries a 59-metre mainmast and a 48-metre mizzen mast supporting a 470-square-metre mainsail, 249-square-metre mizzen, 596-square-metre genoa and 356-square-metre staysail, all supplied by Doyle Sails. During sea trials, Simena achieved a maximum sailing speed of 16 knots in 20 knots of wind at a 100-degree wind angle.

The yacht is powered by a hybrid propulsion system that enables quiet electric cruising at approximately 8 knots with a calculated range of around 6,000 nautical miles. A MAN diesel engine provides a top speed of 14 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Environmental performance has also been recognised, with Simena awarded a four-star “Superior” SEA Index rating developed by the Yacht Club de Monaco and UBS Group and verified by Lloyd’s Register. The yacht has also received two nominations at the La Belle Classe Superyachts Explorer Awards.

Accommodation is provided for up to 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite forward. Exterior amenities include a cockpit dining area for up to 14 guests, a six-square-metre fold-out swim platform and a discreet sunken flybridge.

Simena is currently offered for sale exclusively through Northrop & Johnson.
