“Alice was born from a clear vision: to create a fast, capable and comfortable bluewater cruising yacht that could be enjoyed by the whole family while delivering exceptional sailing performance,” says Malcolm McKeon.

“The yacht has been designed to be easily driven, rewarding to sail and capable of undertaking extended passages in comfort and safety.”

Performance is central to the design, with the carbon construction reducing weight while delivering structural efficiency. The sail plan and telescopic keel are designed to maximise both speed and versatility.

Ease of handling is another priority. Designed to operate with limited crew, Alice features a captive halyard, in-boom furling mainsail and furling headsails, allowing the yacht to transition quickly from leaving the dock to sailing.

Alice is a true marvel in the ease and simplicity with which she gets underway,” says Baltic Yachts Delivery Captain Ryan Taylor.

“Once the sails are set and trimmed, she performs and manoeuvres like a much smaller high-performance sailing yacht. She is an absolute joy to sail on any wind angle, and I think she has all the qualities to become a star performer in the superyacht regatta scene should her owner choose to compete.”

The exterior places an emphasis on the connection between inside and out. Extensive deckhouse glazing provides panoramic views and draws natural light into the interior, while a fixed bimini offers protection underway and at anchor.

Inside, Adam Lay Studio has developed a natural, textural scheme intended to create a comfortable family environment. Brushed walnut, textured veneers, fabrics and carefully considered lighting are complemented by subtle references to the marine environment.

Textured veneer inserts in the cabins evoke ripples on the water, while branch-inspired wall lights and naturally textured fabrics reinforce the interior’s biophilic character.

The yacht has a beam of 8.3 metres, a light displacement of 109 tonnes and carries 35 tonnes of ballast. Owner representation was handled by A2B Marine Projects, with Tommy Johansson overseeing project management for Baltic Yachts.

Johansson says the project aligns closely with Baltic Yachts’ expertise in lightweight composite construction, advanced engineering and performance sailing.

“It has been a pleasure to see her come together, and we look forward to following Alice on her travels,” he says.

With delivery complete, Alice leaves Finland ready for long-distance sailing and extended family cruising.
