The watersports offering at boot Düsseldorf 2027 will combine surfing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, foiling, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding in a dedicated action hub, giving visitors the chance to try different disciplines, develop their skills and watch international athletes compete.
Running from 23 to 31 January 2027, the world’s largest yacht and watersports show will introduce a redesigned Hall 12, bringing together the popular World of Paddling and board sports attractions for the first time.
At the centre of the hall will be an XXL pool extended to 65 metres, providing additional space for demonstrations, competitions and hands-on activities.
A new two-level skimboarding course will add another dimension, while the Surf Academy will offer introductory sessions and practical advice for newcomers.
The redesigned canoe channel will feature a continuous circuit around a landscaped island, allowing visitors to paddle canoes and kayaks without having to turn around at either end of the course. A high-ropes climbing course will provide an additional challenge away from the water.
With the pool and the paddling course, we’ve now brought two real boot hotspots together in one hall,” said boot Director Petros Michelidakis.
“The surf pool appeals to the more action-hungry fans, whilst things are a bit more laid-back in the new paddling channel.”
Participation will be a major focus, with additional sessions available for stand-up paddleboarding, pump foiling, wakeboarding, windsurfing and skimboarding throughout the nine-day event.
A new Train with a Pro program will give more experienced participants the opportunity to work alongside professional athletes in small-group sessions, with individual coaching and technical feedback.
Hall 12 will also host four international competitions across the two weekends. The opening weekend, 23 and 24 January, will feature the SFT Indoor Pump Foil World Cup and World Skim Board Masters.
The following weekend, 30 and 31 January, will see the Pooltastic Wakeboard Masters and FPT Indoor Tow-In Freestyle windsurfing competition take over the expanded pool.
Beyond the competitions, the Pool Stage will feature presentations, athlete interviews and discussions covering equipment, emerging technologies and developments across watersports.
Electric foiling will be another focus, with visitors able to explore the latest e-foil equipment and technology.
Halls 15 and 16 will be dedicated to sailing yachts, equipment and accessories, showcasing the latest models from leading international boatbuilders alongside sails, rigging, navigation systems and deck hardware. Visitors will be able to explore new yacht designs, compare equipment and discover innovations for cruising and performance sailing.
Elsewhere at boot 2027, Hall 13 will offer diving demonstrations and participation opportunities, while the boot Sailing School in Hall 15 will introduce newcomers to sailing on its indoor sailing basin.
With nearly 1,500 exhibitors and more than 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries, boot Düsseldorf brings together sailing yachts, motor yachts, marine equipment and watersports across 17 exhibition halls.
The 2027 edition will also highlight marine conservation and sustainable technologies, including the blue innovation dock, developed in cooperation with European Boating Industry.
Further information and registration for participation sessions will be available from early December. Tickets are on sale now.
