Already renowned for agility, responsiveness at the helm, and optimised living space, the Excess 11 is now enriched by an innovative propulsion technology, without compromising quality of life on board.
With this hybrid engine – pairing a genset with twin electric engines – sailors can enjoy quiet docking manoeuvres, cruising under fully electric power, and optimised range, due to the hybrid engine.
Available starting in the summer of 2025, this hybrid version of the Excess 11 meets the increasing expectations of sailors wishing to combine comfort and innovation. Soon, this technology will also be offered aboard the all-new model, the Excess 13, for those seeking quiet cruises.
“By offering a hybrid engine aboard the Excess 11, our iconic, entry-level model, Excess Catamarans asserts its pioneer spirit, constantly innovating in the pursuit of a new way to cruise,” stated the company.
“At Excess, thinking differently is not revolutionary. It is simply anchored in the culture of its crew.
“The Excess ambition is to reimagine the world of catamarans, and to design boats that are at once streamlined and simple, with a structure that merges comfort and performance.”
Excess is a brand of catamarans owned by the GROUPE BENETEAU, combining savoir-faire and love of the sea. Launched in September of 2019, Excess offers a line of catamarans with a powerful, distinctive design, with models ranging today from 11 meters to 14 meters in length.
Excess catamarans offer the pleasure of cruising without sacrificing comfort. Created by and for sailors, Excess catamarans are made for those who love the thrill of sailing, sharing unique emotions, and seeking sensations.
