Dufour Yachts unveiled its new model, the Dufour 54, at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival, 9 to 14 September, and celebrated sales of the new model during the event.
The new 16-metre model is the result of a collaboration between Dufour’s in-house design team, renowned naval architect Umberto Felci and interior designer Luca Ardizio.
As a symbol of French boatbuilding expertise, this new cruising yacht embodies the perfect blend of performance, exceptional stability and elegant lines. Designed for both pure sailing fans and lovers of cruising, the Dufour 54 is already set to be a benchmark in the world of recreational boating, confirming the excellence of the Dufour brand in the larger yacht sector.
The Dufour 54 combines ocean-going comfort, sleek design and extensive customisation, with generous accommodation and an owner’s suite inspired by some of the greatest yachts.
Available in an OD Sea+ hybrid version, the Dufour 54 reflects Dufour’s ambition to offer boating that is ever more sustainable, fluid and connected to the ocean.
The Dufour 54 has been meticulously designed to enhance the onboard experience, with an emphasis on outdoor living. Large, panoramic windows provide 360° views of sea and sky, ensuring natural light and optimal visibility from every part of the yacht.
The innovative U-shaped Sky Lounge Cockpit allows for comfortable socialising and interaction. The cockpit tables can be easily converted into sun loungers, providing a versatile space to relax at anchor or underway.
The yacht’s bow features a Sky Lounge Deck at the foot of the mast, equipped with two seats that can be converted into sun loungers, further increasing the relaxation space on deck.
The Dufour 54’s aft platform is equipped with a modular “Sea Stern Cook” galley, offering the option of plancha grills, a fridge, or a sink. This space enables guests to prepare meals while staying connected with the onboard experience.
The dual cockpit access from the swim platform also enhances deck mobility, providing safe and easy access for sunbathing, swimming, and water activities.
The interior of the Dufour 54 is equally versatile, with a focus on comfort and functionality. The master cabin offers owners the choice between a traditional cabin layout with an aft ensuite or the Suite version, which includes a larger bed, vanity, and a forward ensuite—providing a more expansive, luxurious space.
The forward cabin, illuminated by large coachroof windows, ensures absolute privacy and offers a peaceful setting with sky views and ambient lighting that contributes to the overall comfort of the space.
The saloon features flexible seating arrangements to suit the number of guests aboard. The saloon table is designed for social dining and can accommodate a range of guest configurations.
The Dufour 54 is designed for ease of handling, whether for long-distance ocean crossings or coastal cruising. Highly responsive and easy to handle, the yacht is a true pleasure to sail.
With the option of a deep or shoal-draft keel, the yacht is suited to all the world’s cruising conditions and seabed depths.
The hardtop also provides protection from the elements while offering clear visibility of the sails.
Available in a variety of layouts, including a six-cabin and five-bathroom version, the Dufour 54 offers an ocean of space and possibilities to suit every cruising plan.
There is also a choice of galley layouts offering options to optimise lounge seating or galley bench space, two options to customise bathroom configurations, the ability to add a sail locker or crew cabin, and much more.
Mark Elkington, Director at The Yacht Sales Co. which represents Dufour Yachts in Australia commented, “We were thrilled with the response to the new 54 in Cannes. We took an order from an Australian buyer who purchased the premiere boat that was on display.
“Overall, it was a very busy show and a very promising sign of the global market recovery, and all exhibitors felt extremely positive about this overall upturn.”
