After the recent launch of the Festival Program for 2023, the Australian Wooden Boat Festival Organisers have announced new events during the four-day Festival.

The Festival itself is free, but these new events will offer a little more spark to your experience.

The Australian National Maritime Museum Boat Builders of Australia Display will offer guided tours during the Festival, from the BBoA marquee. Take a look at some of the exceptional wooden boats designed and built by craftspeople and shipwright’s from around Australia.

Guided tours include Norman R Wright & Sons, Jock Muir and Len Randell boats, which will all be berthed in the Sullivan’s Cove area. Meet the current owners and step onboard to experience what it’s like to be present onboard one of these wooden crafts, of all shapes and sizes.

General Manager, Paul Stephanus states “it is a delight to work with the current custodians of these vessels, along with the designers and builders to offer the general public an insight into some of these incredibly important and iconic vessels.”

Tours will depart the Festival site daily, Saturday 11 February to Monday 13 February. Bookings are essential via the AWBF website.
