Oyster Yachts, the iconic British builder of the world’s finest luxury bluewater sailing yachts, has officially opened the doors to its brand-new, fully equipped service centre in Barcelona. The move marks another major milestone in the company’s ongoing investment in its global service network and seamless ownership of its vessels.

The new Oyster Yachts’ facility supports a growing community of Oyster owners across the Mediterranean, with over 45 yachts already making Barcelona their base.

Barcelona has become one of the Mediterranean’s most desirable wintering destinations for Oyster owners, offering a compelling alternative to Palma as demand grows across the Balearics.

The new facility significantly extends Oyster’s reach across the region, offering expert refit, maintenance and engineering services to a growing number of Oyster owners who cruise, berth, or prepare their yachts for long-haul voyages, including the Oyster World Rally.

The grand opening took place on Friday 31 October at the Oyster Barcelona workshop, bringing together Oyster’s senior leadership, key suppliers, captains and industry partners for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and collaboration. The event was warmly received by the local marina community, who welcomed Oyster’s arrival as a valuable addition to Premià de Mar’s thriving sailing scene.

With a growing fleet already based in the region, many of them under guardianage or wintering programs, or working with the Oyster team to prepare for transatlantic crossings later this year. This strong local presence reflects the increasing importance of Barcelona within Oyster’s global service network and the brand’s continued investment in supporting its owners wherever they sail.

Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke, CEO of Oyster Yachts said: “Barcelona has quickly become a key hub for Oyster owners, with more than 45 Oyster yachts now based here through the winter season.

“With a very well-protected harbour, exclusive berthing for Oyster yachts and trusted technical partners on our doorstep, it offers an ideal base for refit, service and preparation for Mediterranean cruising or longer range voyages, whether across the Atlantic or around the world.

“Combined with excellent marina amenities for owners and crew, and supported by a team of 13 Oyster specialists, our Barcelona service centre ensures that owning an Oyster remains truly effortless.”

The Barcelona Service Centre joins existing Oyster hubs in Palma, Antigua, and Newport (USA), providing strategic support for Oyster’s fleet around the globe. The new facility is fully staffed by Oyster’s in-house service teams and offers a full suite of services tailored to individual owner needs, from standard weekly.
