Dufour to the fore

The Yacht Sales Co team enjoyed strong interest in its range on display at SCIBS 2022.
The company showcased the Dufour 470 and Dufour 530 yachts to hundreds of visitors at the event, with a number of orders expected to follow in the coming weeks.
The Dufour 470 combines both Dufour’s vast expertise and the brand’s commitment to innovation, with its hull design and fluid deck layout delivering a sophisticated aesthetic and stunning performance.
The Dufour 470 is available in three versions, however the one on display at Sanctuary Cove was the Ocean version. This deck layout generally suits owners who wish for a more traditional movement plan, with sheet winches positioned on the coamings and sail controls are led to the winches by the companionway.
The yacht is also available in the Easy and Performance versions to cater for relaxed cruisers and thrill-seekers alike.

The Dufour 530 has garnered critical worldwide acclaim since its launch, winning the prestigious SAIL Magazine 2021 Best Boat Award in the category of Best Large Monohull 50ft and Above.
Developed on the architectural premise of the Performance range, the yacht’s authentic racer hull has been designed with exhilaration in mind. Comfort is key when cruising, so Dufour has combined the main Grand Large features with an open, secure, fully equipped deck.
The Dufour 530 is loaded with innovations, including three completely distinct manoeuvring layouts, a cockpit with all-new features, a revolutionary bimini concept and beautiful aesthetics.
Sales and business developer manager, Bob Vinks said the show was an excellent platform that allowed buyers to inspect and compare the two new Dufour models. Vinks also commented that interest was very strong despite the challenging weather.
“We took a record number of enquiries on both yachts during the show, which is a testament to the sheer quality, design and value of the Dufour range,” Vinks noted.
“There is certainly a marked increase in interest in the Dufour yachts throughout the Asia Pacific as yachting enthusiasts recognise the brand’s outstanding innovation, performance and sophisticated aesthetics.
“Feedback from visitors was extremely positive with many commenting that the Dufour yachts had a higher quality finish and more living space than other brands they had inspected during the show.”
