DD solves a major dinghy problem for modern sailing yachts, where folding transom platforms or very raked sterns prevent the mounting of conventional davits.  There is nowhere able to sustain the load, also the platform and dinghy need the same space over the water.

DD can carry a substantial RIB and engine up to 130 kilograms with the weight broadly dispersed across multiple structural points.

DD has 3 positions for the dinghy:

  • launched behind the platform
  • adjustable mid-height for carriage
  • or locked at up to 3M above the waterline to permit use of the stern when aft docking in port, or at anchor when swimming or receiving guests

DD works by pushbutton control of an integral winch system.  In an emergency even with no power, DD launches the dinghy in less than 20 seconds.
