WASZP_X has been added to the WASZP family, aiming to create the most accessible foiling pathway in the world, from junior, to youth, to senior sailing.

The WASZP_X is the latest product out of the WASZP factory. This boat will provide the start point of the most affordable and accessible foiling pathway in the sport, minimising the total customer lifetime spend over the sailing journey.
The class will use the same hull as the WASZP with several differences including a 5.8-metre sail to suit smaller sailors, lightweight rig for easy righting and stability when sailing and curved aero wingbars to increase stability and make capsize recovery easier for smaller sailors. Other
The new model offers an easy and affordable transition to the 6.9 and 8.2 rigs and will have a recommended minimum weight of 30 to 35kgs, suited to juniors from 11 to 14 years of age.
The WASZP_X benefits from all of the other great WASZP features such as buoyancy in tramps for a stable learning platform, stayless rig for safe sailing and full manufacturer and event support. The new model will be capable of hitting speeds of 20 knots+.

Using all the current WASZP Racehub infrastructure, the WASZP_X will be able to mobilise a global racing circuit extremely quickly.

The WASZP_X will grow into a go-to class for junior sailors, allowing them an early jump into competitive foiling without the price tag or danger of other classes.
With global partnerships in place with SailGP and the INSPIRE youth racing circuit, we envisage this will be the starting point to get more kids foiling earlier and lifting the overall standard by the time they reach their late teens and move into senior sailing on the WASZP 8.2.
