Fountaine Pajot has released the first official images of its new FP48 sailing catamaran ahead of the model’s world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.

The FP48 will make its public debut alongside the new FP55 and FPY 70S, the inaugural model in the French builder’s Fountaine Pajot Yachts range.

The three world premieres represent one of Fountaine Pajot’s most substantial product launches in recent years.

Replacing the Tanna 47, the FP48 introduces updated styling, improved circulation and a greater emphasis on indoor-outdoor living, onboard comfort and extended cruising capability.

A three-metre sliding glass door connects the saloon and cockpit, while the layout incorporates an expansive Lounge Deck and centrally positioned galley.

The 48-footer will be offered in a Maestro owner’s configuration and a Quatuor family layout. It has also been designed to support easy shorthanded sailing.

The FP48 incorporates Fountaine Pajot’s ODSea+ hybrid-ready energy system, supported by up to 2,300 watts of solar generation to increase onboard autonomy during longer passages and periods away from shore power.

Greg Boller, General Manager – Fountaine Pajot at regional dealer The Yacht Sales Co., said the FP48 retained the strengths of its predecessor while introducing a new direction for the range.

The FP48 builds on everything owners have loved about the Tanna 47 while introducing a fresh new direction for the range, with an even greater emphasis on comfort, connectivity and long-range cruising,” Boller said.

“We’ve had strong interest since the model was first announced and we’re looking forward to helping our clients experience it firsthand at Cannes.”

Boller said the simultaneous launch of three models would make the 2026 festival a significant event for Fountaine Pajot.

“It’s rare to see three all-new models launched at the same event,” he said.

“Cannes gives our clients the opportunity to step aboard each of them, compare the latest innovations and speak directly with our team and the shipyard.”

The builder’s display will also include a selection of existing sailing catamarans and motor yachts, creating one of its most comprehensive showcases to date.

The Yacht Sales Co., which represents Fountaine Pajot across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, will offer private inspections at Cannes and virtual appointments for clients unable to attend.

The 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival will run from 8 to 13 September.
