SheSails is a great way for us to all come together in Australia with a common goal of promoting more women sailors on the water, and more women in the sailing industry as a whole. I’m proud to be able to combine forces with SheSails, to help promote the amazing network that is available to women who want to sail, at whatever level they choose, and also to promote working together across clubs, events and classes to get more women on the water more often!”

Nic was the on-site host and English Announcer for VIPs, Athletes, Officials, Sport Personnel, and all Victory Ceremonies for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (Sailing), is currently the Global Adrenaline Lounge Host for the SailGP and was the “Attack Reporter” for World Sailing and Sunset + Vine at the World Sailing Championship at The Hague in 2023.

Nic is well known for her engaging host skills. She managed and hosted the Discover Sailing & Paddling Hub stage at the Sydney International Boat Show including a women’s panel. Followed quickly by hosting and managing the sailing for the second year running at Hamilton Island Race Week 2023, where she aided in planning the inaugural women sailors and supporters network evening for the regatta.

Apart from her media work, Nic is also involved in community sailing initiatives, particularly those aimed at getting more women and young people involved in the sport. She is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in sailing and works tirelessly to promote these values.

Her passionate advocacy for diversity and inclusion is evident through her mentorship in the Magenta Project, supporting aspiring sailors and fostering a more diverse landscape in sailing.

Nic was an inspirational speaker at Australian Sailing’s last SheSails National Conference in October, click here to view the SheSails Leadership Conference.

In 2023, she was awarded the SheSails Award by Australian Sailing – NSW/ACT to acknowledge her contributions to women in sailing.
