Twenty superyachts will race off Ibiza and Formentera from 17 to 20 September as the Ibiza JoySail Superyacht Regatta returns for its sixth edition.
Based at Marina Ibiza, the 2026 event will bring together an international fleet ranging from 80 to 147 feet, with yachts from some of the world’s leading shipyards.
The entry list combines returning contenders with several Ibiza JoySail newcomers, reflecting the growing depth and diversity of the Mediterranean superyacht racing fleet.
Returning yachts include Aurelius, Cervo, Gelliceaux, Karibu, Liberty Squared, Moat, Morgana and Nostromo.
Making their debuts are Bella, Fortissimo, Atalante, Inoui, Kalantis, Kiboko III, Mari Cha III, Ocho, Point Counter Point, Rose, Starfall and Win Win.
Southern Wind is the most represented shipyard in the fleet, with seven yachts, followed by Nautor Swan with five.
The line-up also includes yachts built by Vitters, Baltic Yachts, Pendennis Shipyard, Oyster, Wally, Y Yachts, J.O.M. Holland and Sensation Yachts.
Ibiza JoySail director Nacho Postigo said the entry list demonstrated how the regatta had evolved since its launch.
The fleet is a reflection of Ibiza JoySail’s evolution over the past six years,” Postigo said.
“Every edition brings together an eclectic mix of yachts, from cutting-edge racing projects to cruising yachts that compete in their original configuration.
“Striking that balance has become one of Ibiza JoySail’s defining characteristics.”
The event’s Corinthian ethos remains central to the format, allowing owners and crews to compete while keeping their yachts in standard cruising trim.
Competitors will also have the opportunity to challenge for the Perpetual Trophy before the regatta.
Between 15 August and 16 September, participating yachts can attempt to set the fastest time on the crossing from Mallorca to Ibiza.
The main regatta will then be held from 17 to 20 September, with racing staged on the waters surrounding Ibiza and Formentera.
