The new concept from Dixon Yacht Design, known as SY Juno JR, harmonises the best of motor yacht and sailing yacht design.

Like her larger sister she offers an environmentally conscious owner a genuine alternative to traditional sailing yacht or motor yacht ownership. With an elegant yet modernistic poise she offers generous internal accommodation for her owner and guests to enjoy.

She is very much an inside/outside concept with a large flexible aft deck for entertaining, easy access to the water has been assured with a multi-articulating stern platform. Two 8-metre tenders are stowed within garages with a 7-metre crew tender beneath the foredeck.

Juno JR has been set up with twin Dyna rigs which will offer incredibly efficient, fast and easy to sail operation.

Tried and tested control systems have proven in-service reliability.

A full width owner’s cabin is located amidships in the most comfortable part of the vessel. A further four guest cabins are accommodated on the main deck with the main saloon flowing into the aft deck.

The ship’s engine room is located amidship and can be set up with serial or parallel hybrid propulsion.

Solar panels have been integrated into the flybridge and the two propellers act as energy recovery turbines generating electricity whilst the vessel is sailing.

Juno JR offers considerably less environmental impact than an equivalent motor yacht and has been designed for a customer who is not afraid to do something different. It defies sailing convention but not the sailing experience.
