Lagoon has unveiled the Lagoon 47 is a 48-foot catamaran that hits the sweet spot between manageable size and bluewater capability.
Positioned between the highly successful Lagoon 46 and the larger models in the range, the Lagoon 47 is engineered to be the ultimate owner-centric platform.
Scheduled for launch at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, the Lagoon 47 is the work of esteemed naval architects VPLP Design, who have been shaping the brand’s iconic catamarans for decades.
As a result, the hull is engineered to maximise volume without sacrificing performance.
“A spacious forward cockpit, accessed via a door at the front of the saloon on the same level, provides a comfortable and welcoming relaxation area,” said Mathias Maurios, VPLP Design.
“It’s the ideal place to spend some time with family or friends after a full day out on the water.”
Specifically, it is designed for extended voyaging with ample volume for families, practical owner-operation without compromising comfort and seamless indoor-outdoor living with panoramic views and intuitive flow.
Great emphasis has been placed on onboard flow, comfort, and usability, alongside more considered material choices and construction methods.
From the bow to the stern, movement on board the Lagoon 47 is fluid and unrestricted. This ease of movement is made possible in particular by a brand new feature: a door that directly connects the forward cockpit to the saloon. With its 12-square-metres, the forward cockpit becomes a genuine living space, like an extra room on board.
Equipped with a large bench seat, a coffee table and sun loungers, the Lagoon 47’s flybridge provides a whole new living space on board. The Lagoon 47’s smart room adapts to an owner’s sailing style and can be configured as a workspace, storage or extra cabin.
Owners can also choose from a range of exclusive interior designs, ensuring that every boat is unique.
