Lagoon has unveiled the all-new Lagoon 47, replacing the Lagoon 46 in the brand’s line-up, and continuing its evolution of the modern cruising catamaran, by introducing a model designed around the way owners truly live onboard.

Taking over from the Lagoon 46 in this popular size range, the Lagoon 47 brings together long-range sailing capability, practical innovation, and a stronger connection between life onboard and the surrounding environment.

However, rather than reinventing the formula entirely, Lagoon has refined and rethought the details that matter most – from movement throughout the boat to sail handling, comfort, and usability during extended time away.

Commenting on this new addition to its fleet, Joe Fox, brand manager for Lagoon in Australia, said the Lagoon 47 reflects a broader shift in how modern owners are using their boats.

What stands out with the Lagoon 47 is how every space on board has been designed with intent,” said Fox.

He added: “A versatile cabin layout, suiting both commercial and private use gives good flexibility for owners, and the new level of internal finish is one that will be well received in the marketplace.”

On the inspiration behind the design, he commented: “Lagoon has clearly listened to owners. There’s a real balance here between simplicity, comfort, and genuine offshore capability. It’s a boat that feels equally suited to weekends with family or much bigger adventures.”

One of the most noticeable changes aboard the Lagoon 47 is the enhanced connection between the saloon and forward cockpit. A large opening creates a far more seamless flow between interior and exterior spaces, improving ventilation and allowing owners to move naturally throughout the boat while remaining connected to the water and surroundings.

The flybridge has also been completely redesigned, now offering improved access, better helm ergonomics, and more integrated social spaces without losing sight of the sailing experience itself.

Standard in-mast furling keeps sail handling manageable for cruising couples and families, while optional square top slab reefing and downwind sail packages cater to those planning more ambitious offshore adventures.
