The date change to the King’s Birthday long weekend (Saturday 30 September 2023 to Monday 2 October 2023), gives Maritimo additional time ahead of the main event, the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, Boxing Day, 26 December 2023.
“Maritimo fully supports Southport Yacht Club’s initiative of Bartercard Sail Paradise’s new date, allowing us to participate in both the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and this premier event,” stated Michael Spies, Maritimo Skipper.
“We are competing up and down the east coast of Australia, but the Gold Coast is still the best, and we are thrilled to be part of the SYC’s effort to support and grow the local offshore fleet. Looking forward to competing!”

It will be driven hard by the same team that enjoyed success with the previous Maritimo 54.
Locals and visitors are invited to watch this prestigious event to celebrate the beauty of sailing and be amazed by the colours, skill and thrilling action.
