Winner of European Yacht of the Year 2023 and the latest collaboration between Humphreys Yacht Design and Oyster’s in-house design studio, the 50-foot sailing yacht is an evolution of five decades of iconic Oyster design cues.
The Oyster 495 is positioned as a new breed of 50-foot yacht bluewater cruiser, offering effortless shorthanded sailing capability and luxurious living space.
Displaying all the hallmarks of Oyster’s exquisite craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail, the exceptional build quality of the Oyster 495 means she is built to last a lifetime.
The new Oyster 495 features instantly recognisable design cues – deck saloon, seascape windows and flush decks, combined with exceptional sailing performance.
Her clean hull lines and wide beam aft are the foundation for the outstanding space and capabilities of the Oyster 495. Flush decks, signature triple vertical seascape windows, foredeck skyscape windows, a powerful plumb bow and extended bowsprit complete the look.
Details like the cockpit table, with optional built-in refrigerated drinks locker, that comfortably seats up to eight people, are some of her many features.
With the optional shallow-draft shoal keel, the Oyster 495 can take you anywhere. With an impressive reduction in draft to just 1.83m/6’0”, experience unparalleled freedom as you navigate previously inaccessible shallow cruising grounds and anchorages.
New generation interiors feature modern styling, integrated technology and equipment for truly luxurious entertaining and living spaces.
With four interior design themes, 495’s interiors set a new standard in her class. The well-equipped, seaworthy, U-shaped galley, saloon and cabins are well-proportioned, comfortable and luxurious. Her wide beam aft offers unexpected space compared to any other 50 foot yacht for sale.
She is eminently practical, making her perfect for liveaboard adventures.
Intelligent interior space planning, combining insights and the acclaimed craftsmanship from Oyster’s larger yachts, makes use of every inch of hull volume.
The tasteful choice of materials, fabrics and integrated technology throughout, along with modern styling, creates truly luxurious entertaining and living spaces. The impressive owner’s cabin, with its deep luxury mattress, has excellent headroom and signature triple seascape windows, creating an amazing feeling of space and light throughout the new Oyster 495. The new mood lighting system creates a perfect interior environment.
Her larger sister, the Oyster 565, will also be on display in Cannes. A magnificent sub-60-foot bluewater cruiser, the 565 combines practicality with luxurious living space.
Now reimagined as the Oyster 565 Series II, she features evolved styling, updated interior configurations, and a powerful sail plan—ideal for adventurous, shorthanded world cruising.
At the Cannes Yachting Festival, Oyster Yachts will exhibit in the Sailing Area. This year, there will be close to 120 new 10 to 30-metre sail boats, monohulls and multihulls on display, including 13 world launches.
With more than 400 metres along the quay for monohull boats and more than 450 metres for multihull boats, the Sailing Area provides a unique display and perspective in the world.
On shore, exhibitors will represent shipyards, equipment and services related to sailing. The show runs 9 to 14 September.
