RNI Leg 3 begins

The Evolution Sails NZ Round North Island Two Handed Yacht Race Leg 3 start will be at 1600 hours on Tuesday 7 March.

After careful consideration and a full safety assessment all boats will be returning via the West Coast for what will be an epic leg of over 600nm.

PredictWinds Routing suggests Wired will finish late Friday with all the fleet finished by the end of the weekend. Time, sailing conditions and boat tactics all come into play so will be great to see how the boats go!

The fleet is now in preparation mode – a big shout out to Marlborough Sounds Marinas and Waikawa Boating Club – the hospitality is amazing and the locals have been helping our crews with all sorts of things!
