Portugal to host TP52 Champs

The location of the 2022 Rolex TP52 World Championships has been announced.

Cascais in Portugal will host the 2022 Rolex TP52 World Championships from 20 to 25 June.

Widely considered the grand prix of monohull racing, the annual event has been partnered by Rolex since 2017 as part of a longstanding commitment to the sport that dates back more than 60 years.

The Rolex TP52 World Championship is considered to be a benchmark for inshore yacht racing.

Across five days of competition and ten scheduled races, nine highly competitive crews will contest one of sailing’s most significant prizes.

Portugal’s Atlantic Coast is renowned for its challenging sailing conditions.

A democratic box rule guarantees an even playing field with the focus on teamwork, skill and delivering consistent performances in an intense, pressurised environment on compressed windward/leeward racecourses.
