According to organisers of this year’s Qoin Sail Paradise, 2 to 6 January, the regatta was an absolute delight for both sailors and spectators alike.
The regatta brought an incredible fleet of yachts to the waters off the Gold Coast, and the sight of these majestic vessels gliding across the waves was truly breathtaking.
One of the highlights of the event was the spectacular spinnakers on display. These large, colourful sails are designed to catch the wind and push the boat forward, and they created a stunning visual display as they billowed and filled with air.
Whether you were watching from one of the many Gold Coast beaches or from a high-rise apartment, the spinnakers added a dynamic and mesmerising element to the sailing.
But the beauty of Qoin Sail Paradise wasn’t limited to the water. The regatta also provided a unique opportunity for the local community to come together and celebrate.
The beaches and parks were filled with people of all ages enjoying the sights and sounds of the event, and it was a joy to see families and friends bonding over their shared love of sailing.
The extended format of the recent premier offshore sailing regatta has one (1) day lay excursion that gave the participants time to also explore the beautiful Gold Coast, relax and enjoy with other skippers and crews and their families over bonding moments with the Round of Golf at the Sanctuary Cove and an Island BBQ Experience at SYC’s exclusive island, at the Dux Anchorage, South Stradbroke Island.
Overall, Sail Paradise was a true success. The sailors competed fiercely, the yachts were incredible to watch and the spinnakers were captivating. The regatta brought a sense of excitement and energy to the Gold Coast, and it was a testament to the power of sailing to bring people together and create unforgettable memories.
Congratulations to all participants, and Qoin Sail Paradise Regatta 2023 Winners, and a HUGE THANK YOU to sponsors, volunteers and all involved.
