Rolex serves as title partner of the eleventh stop of the 13-event 2025 Season calendar. The Swiss watchmaker’s position as title partner of the global championship was announced at the start of the 2025 Season in Dubai last November, expanding on the long-standing partnership that began at SailGP’s inception.
Rolex’s Arnaud Boetsch, Director of Communication & Image said: “We are honoured to welcome the Rolex SailGP Championship to Geneva for the very first time.
“As title partner, we are proud to support this ground-breaking championship, which stands at the forefront of innovation, performance, and sustainability in sailing.
“With its stunning lake and rich sailing spirit, Geneva provides an exceptional setting for this exhilarating competition.
“Supporting SailGP since its inception, we share their commitment to pushing boundaries – whether through cutting-edge technology, environmental responsibility, or inspiring the next generation and we are enthusiastic to see these values come to life on the water.
Boetsch continued, “More than just a championship, SailGP is a platform for progress, inspiring future generations and driving meaningful change. We look forward to an unforgettable event that will showcase not only world-class racing but also the power of sport to drive positive change.”
Located at the southeast perimeter of the lake, SailGP’s race stadium is positioned beside Yacht Club de Genève – which hosts some of SailGP’s key sites for the event – placing fans at the heart of the action and offering a front row seat to history in the making.
Yacht Club de Genève’s President Marc Flury added, “The arrival of SailGP in Geneva represents an incredible opportunity for our sport.
“As an active and committed club for nearly 140 years, the Yacht Club de Genève works to develop the sport of sailing.
“Welcoming an international event of the magnitude of SailGP on our shores is in line with our mission, and we are proud to be the location for the inaugural event on the lake, which already promises to be historic for Swiss sailing.”
