On 3 June, the curtain fell on the 52 Super Series Scarlino Sailing Week at the Yacht Club Isole di Toscana, running May 29 to 3 June, with Turkish team Provezza winning by just one point over North American team Quantum Racing Powered by American Magic.
Marina di Scarlino hosted 11 teams of the highest competitive level for a week, literally representing the entire world, delivering a week of great sailing, in the presence of world-famous sailors.
The 52 Super Series circuit is not new in the Maremma waters, being the fourth time it has chosen the gulf breezes, less than eight months after the last visit, in September 2022.
A week of summer weather and thermal Westerly winds fallowed the entire program, i.e. 10 races, to be held, at the end of which the Turkish Provezza team was reconfirmed, already winner of the first circuit event held in Saint Tropez.

The diversity of the winning crew is extraordinary, including athletes from Turkey, Argentina, Italy, New Zealand and Spain, with the famous Hamish Pepper calling tactics and Nacho Postigo as navigator.
Leading the Owner-Driver scoring is the Vayu team, of the Whitcraft family, led by the tactical choices of British Olympic medallist Nick Rogers.
With the dispute of the last two races, on Saturday 3 June the Costiere di Scarlino provided the perfect setting for a challenge to the last tack, where sustainability was the protagonist alongside the competitive competition, with the creation of an interesting environmental workshop dedicated to young athletes of the surroundings sailing teams, with the aim of transmitting to young sailors the love and respect for the sea.

“Seeing owners and athletes of this calibre leave satisfied is a source of pride as well as an incentive to further improve the integrated offer that our yacht club aims to present to an increasingly international audience,” commented the President Andrea Longinotti Buitoni.
“Thanks to a unique synergy between all the involved actors, the venue of Marina di Scarlino reconfirms itself as an exceptional destination for world sailing, as shown by the upcoming events we are going to host, the Star World Championship and the Swan World Championship One Design.”
The Yacht Cub Isole di Toscana counts on the support of the Municipality of Scarlino, Marina di Scarlino and Resort Baia Scarlino. Worth noting is the recently inaugurated partnership with NERO Lifestyle, a project born out of a passion for the world of luxury, in the constant search for exclusivity and glamour.
