Nautor Swan made its announcements during Swan Talks, a live conversation tracing Swan’s legacy in Maxis and outlining the expansion of its product portfolio. The event featured leading voices in yacht design such as German Frers and Malcolm McKeon, key figures in leadership including Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman and CEO Sanlorenzo, Giovanni Pomati, Nautor Swan CEO, as well as brokerage expert Bruce Brakenhoff.
Nautor Swan previewed the very first renders of the Swan Alloy 44, designed by Malcolm McKeon in collaboration with Swan’s New Product Development and Technical Office teams. As the brand’s first aluminium supermaxi, Swan Alloy 44 opens new possibilities in customisation, stiffness-to-weight and lifecycle serviceability while remaining unmistakably Swan in proportion and profile.
A full technical release and launch is expected in 2026, with Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO of Sanlorenzo confirming it will be the first yacht to be launched at Nautor Swan’s new facility in Viareggio, with the highest quality aluminium hulls sourced from the Gouwerok Yard in the Netherlands.
“Alloy gives us new freedom without losing the Swan silhouette, elegance in line, purpose in detail, and a sailing experience that feels effortless,” said Malcolm McKeon.
Bruce Brakenhoff of Edmiston reaffirmed the brokerage firm’s strong support for the Swan Alloy 44 project and highlighted the long-term strategic alliance between the two brands, further strengthened by the opening of a Nautor Swan sales office in Newport, at the heart of the East Coast sailing scene.
“For Edmiston, this partnership is a natural step. Nautor Swan is one of the most legendary brands in sailing. We believe in the Swan Alloy 44 project and its potential to set a new standard in a superyacht sailing market that holds growing appeal” said Brakenhoff.
This collaboration also strengthens Nautor Swan’s commitment to reignite interest in performance sailing across the U.S., following the brand’s collaboration with American Magic and new ClubSwan 28 American Series.
Globally premiered in Port Hercule last week, the Swan 128 advances the Maxi family with an architecture that couples German Frers’ performance DNA to contemporary volume and refined deck ergonomics.
Conceived as a sporting cruiser, the 128 is fast to handle, calm at anchor and resolved around the owner experience – helm position, cockpit flow and a light-filled interior that carries Swan’s signature restraint.
“The 128 distils Swan’s language for today: efficiency on the water, clarity of space, and the quiet confidence owners recognise the moment they step aboard,” said Germán Frers, Architect.
To complete the picture, Nautor Swan confirmed up to two further models in the alloy family, beyond 50 meters, and a forthcoming Bluewater line. Together, these programmes broaden the brand’s reach and product offering: Maxi for performance cruising at scale; Alloy for semi-custom supermaxi projects in aluminium; Bluewater to welcome owners seeking long-range composure with Swan’s design clarity.
“This is a coherent, owner-centric roadmap,” said Giovanni Pomati, CEO, Nautor Swan.
“We extend choice without diluting identity: performance when you want it, ease when you need it, and the Swan feeling throughout.”
Nautor Swan is entering a new era, one defined by a clear and purposeful vision accelerated by the custodianship of Sanlorenzo.
“With the launch of the Swan 128 and the groundbreaking Swan Alloy 44, the brand continues to push the boundaries of innovation while remaining deeply rooted in its heritage,” said Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO of Sanlorenzo.
“From the smallest ClubSwan 28 to the most ambitious Maxi projects, Swan’s legacy endures. A Swan is a Swan.”
More than building yachts, Nautor Swan is shaping a legacy, one that evolves with time, yet never loses sight of the values that have defined it for generations.
