New appointments at Middle Harbour Yacht Club.

Two new staff appointments have recently been made at Sydney’s Middle Harbour Yacht Club, located at The Spit, Mosman.
Christine Roberts has joined the team as Membership and Marketing Coordinator and brings over five years of relevant industry experience to the role having previously been the Membership, Administration and Communications Manager at the Marina Industries Association from 2012 – 2017.
Christine has extensive communications and customer/member service experience across many sectors including tourism and accommodation, law, real estate and corporate business which will contribute to assisting the over 1500 members of the long established Club as well as to the marketing and promotion of the Club’s sailing, training and member events.

Michelle Lowery has recently been appointed as Functions Manager responsible for the coordination of Middle Harbour Yacht Club’s conference, corporate and private events. Michelle has a strong background in customer service having previously worked for an airline and in catering and more recently in real estate advertising on the Northern Beaches.
The Club is one of Australia’s largest yacht clubs and recognised as a national leader in sail training and associated education programs. It also boast some of Sydney’s most versatile waterfront function venues, with spectacular views over Middle Harbour and Sydney Heads. Used extensively by members, the Club also hosts numerous business and corporate events as well as weddings, celebratory events, wakes and community events.
General Manager, Karen Baldwin said, “the appointments of Christine and Michelle to our team will ensure we continue to deliver and improve upon our offerings to our Members and to the Club’s sailing and social community and wider network”.
We have many exciting events ahead as part of the Club’s 80th Anniversary year and both ladies have hit the ground running – it’s great to have them on board.”
Meanwhile, the club has strengthened its commitment to Youth Sailing with the recent promotion of Andrew (Drew) Lucas and appointment of Elizabeth Turner to the Club’s ‘Discover Sailing’ Centre.
Middle Harbour Yacht Club’s General Manager, Karen Baldwin, says “The Club and particularly our members and wider community are benefitting from the combined sailing and training experience offered by both Drew and Elizabeth. The newly formed team is proving to be a valuable asset to the Club’s youth and school sailing program which goes from strength to strength.”
