Isabell said after prizegiving, “We have enjoyed our time in Auckland, it was great to be in the new boats – thanks to the other teams, we enjoyed the tight, fun racing. Auckland really turned it on this week, the weather was impeccable, great hospitality from our host family and the RNZYS.”
Chief Umpire for the regatta, International Umpire Ryan Parkin, said “It was great to have assembled such a high caliber umpiring team here for this event, the new Emirates Team New Zealand Elliott 7s enabled such a seamless event.”
After prizegiving we spoke to Hyde about his result “we had a big re-group last night and we’re so happy with the outcome of this regatta. We pushed a lot more for this event.
Asking Josh about the teams goals; “we will be applying for entry to as many regattas as we can, with a plan to set ourselves up for a good year. Hopefully we crack into the open and world tour events next year.”
