Organisers of the 2022 Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong are expecting strong entries, hundreds of direct participants and thousands of visitors to the Waterfront Festival.

There is no doubt that the event is growing and this biennial regatta has become a favourite on the Boat-Lovers’ Calendar, as well as giving the Geelong community the opportunity to see first- hand some of the most historic Wooden Boats in Australia.

In 2022, there will be an increased focus on family participation with many activities for children on the program. This will include Tall Ships, tall ship cruises for school groups, Captain Jack Sparrow visits and pirate ships.

The festival will again attract the highest calibre of boats from all around Victoria and interstate to compete in the 9th festival.

They will be competing in an extensive program which will comprise both on water and shore-based activities.
