Nautor Swan is preparing two significant Maxi yacht appearances for Europe’s autumn boat show season, with the new Swan 80 making its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and the second Swan 128, Raijin, heading to the Monaco Yacht Show.
The appearances come during the Finnish shipyard’s 60th anniversary year and will bookend the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo, where more than 150 Swan yachts are expected to gather in September.
The shows will also mark the first public appearances at major international yachting events for Nautor Swan CEO Gianguido Girotti, who took up the role in June 2026.
“Leading Swan into its next chapter is both a privilege and a responsibility,” Girotti said.
When a brand with 60 years of history has shaped generations of sailors, launched some of the world’s most admired yachts and created a community that spans continents, the future can only begin with respect.”
The new Swan 80 will make its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, running from 8 to 13 September 2026, where it will be displayed at Port Canto alongside the Swan 58.
At just under 24 metres, the Swan 80 is positioned as the entry point to Nautor Swan’s Maxi range, joining the Swan 88, Swan 108 and Swan 128.
The model draws on the lineage of previous Swan 80s while introducing a new generation of Maxi design intended to combine offshore performance and long-range cruising capability with a format suited to owner operation.
Naval architecture is by long-time Swan collaborator Germán Frers, with exterior styling by Lucio Micheletti and interiors by Misa Poggi.
The yacht features a low-profile coachroof and flush deck, while the accommodation can be configured around different owner requirements, including cruising, guest-focused layouts and larger social spaces.
The second Swan 128, Raijin, will be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show from 23 to 26 September 2026.
Designed by Germán Frers, with exterior styling by Micheletti + Partners, the 128 is the largest model in Nautor Swan’s current Maxi family.
Raijin follows the first Swan 128, Be Cool, but introduces changes to both its interior and onboard energy systems.
Central to the second hull is Nautor Swan’s Dual Energy Technology, developed with Danfoss to improve energy management and reduce reliance on generators.
The system allows the yacht to regenerate electrical power while sailing, storing energy for later use for propulsion and hotel loads. According to Nautor Swan, regenerative sailing can produce between 30 and 50 kW of electrical power.
The propulsion system incorporates a main electric motor with a variable-pitch propeller, two 130 kW Cummins generators and a 30 kW Fischer Panda generator. A 189 kWh battery bank is designed to provide up to eight hours of silent operation with onboard systems running.
The interior was developed by Misa Poggi, Antonie Bertherat and Heini Gustafsson of Nautor Swan’s interior design team.
In contrast with the teak interior of Be Cool, Raijin uses crown-cut matte oak with warm white ash panels and natural rattan inserts, complemented by pinstriped upholstery and a palette of blues and ochres.
Between Cannes and Monaco, Nautor Swan will celebrate its anniversary at the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo from 13 to 19 September 2026.
More than 150 Swan yachts spanning different generations and sizes are expected to take part, including the new Swan 80, both Swan 128s and examples of some of the earliest Swan yachts.
The gathering will provide a showcase of six decades of Nautor Swan design, from the Finnish yard’s early production yachts to its latest Maxi models.
Nautor Swan will also stage dedicated media events during the two boat shows. Swan Dialogues in Cannes will present updates from across the company, while Swan Talks in Monaco will introduce the new Swan Alloy range.
