Yachties and the marine industry are invited to submit entries into Plastic Oceans Australasia’s Oceans in Motion 2022 Film Competition.

Plastic Oceans Australasia (POA) invites the Australian and New Zealand boating community to showcase an initiative they have implemented or are working to implement to reduce or eliminate single-use plastics.
POA are looking for a completed film that displays a journey over time, as well as their efforts planning, designing and executing their project.
POA sees the advocacy and support of major organisations in the boating industry as critical to influence the reduction of plastic pollution in our oceans.
In 2022 OiM for the first time, invites boating communities across Australia and New Zealand are invited to create a short film about their plastic-free journey and showcase their efforts to reduce single-use plastics.

An Ocean Decade Activity by UNESCO, OiM coincides with the United Nations Environment Programme Assembly’s proposal to work on a broad and legally binding treaty, aiming to restrict the growth of plastic pollution.
OiM is your chance to showcase what are you doing to reduce your plastic footprint. What have you achieved? What were the challenges? Register for OiM and show your fellow seafarers how you are contributing to a healthy ocean!
The 2022 Oceans in Motion Film Competition is supported by Academic Ambassadors – United Nations accredited Climate Change Teacher Dr Meryl Batchelder, Australian Geographic Adventurer, Lloyd Godson and Sporting Ambassadors Robert and Annie Wilmot, Australian Boardsailing Champions.
