Hudson Yacht Group has revealed a first look at its flagship brand’s upcoming offering, the HH44. A model that HH Catamarans has defined as a “disruptive new market entrant designed for those seeking the perfect balance of style, performance, safety and innovation”.

This innovation can be seen in the combination of a carbon fibre and epoxy composite construction, and the parallel hybrid system. Features that enable the model to meet at the point of durability and greater sustainability.

The helms are positioned in the aft corners, which opens up the cabin top for 3.2kW of solar panels (+.5kW mounted on the davits). Propelled by electric motors, the 44-foot catamaran can reach 7.5 knots for 2.5 hours and offers a range of 18 nautical miles.

The inclusion of hydro-regeneration, alongside the expansive solar array and its high sailing performance, combine to almost provide perpetual, emission-free motion.

The redesigned enclosed aft cockpit provides a secure platform to live and operate the boat while closed transoms and uncluttered side decks increase child- and pet-friendliness. A clean aft beam, with davit winches hidden below and the mainsheet traveller on the cabin top, creates a safer aft cockpit with uninterrupted views. When lowered, these closed transom platforms provide four feet of additional living space.

Two large flat forward windows in the 17.4-square-metre saloon can completely open for ventilation and visibility. The dual aft helms can also pivot in and out to ensure both protection and increased visibility when necessary.

The port hull hosts the owner’s suite and includes a queen berth, full-size wardrobe, ensuite head and shower. An additional queen berth and a double berth are located starboard.

Hudson Yacht Group has confirmed the first hull is scheduled to launch in late 2022.
