Oyster Yachts has entered the multihull market with the Oyster C60, a 60-foot bluewater sailing catamaran unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The Oyster C60 is the British builder’s first sailing catamaran and marks a significant expansion beyond the bluewater monohulls for which the brand is best known.

Developed in collaboration with French naval architecture and yacht design studio Berret-Racoupeau, the C60 has been conceived to combine Oyster’s long-range cruising experience with the space, stability and lifestyle advantages of a multihull.

Oyster says the project follows more than a year of research with existing owners, former owners, prospective customers and the wider market, with growing interest in multihulls emerging as a clear theme.

While Oyster says its monohull range remains central to the brand, the C60 is intended to provide another option for owners seeking greater living space and stability without giving up serious offshore capability.

“We have always evolved by listening to our owners,” Oyster Yachts CEO Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke said.

We have seen some move towards multihulls as their lives and ambitions have changed, and we have also heard from prospective owners who are drawn to Oyster but see a catamaran as the right yacht for them.”

He said the C60 was designed to respond to that demand while maintaining the principles that have defined Oyster since its founding.

Designed for bluewater cruising

The Oyster C60 measures 19.42 metres overall, with a beam of 9.35 metres and a draft of 1.70 metres.

Its layout provides around 110 square metres of connected interior and exterior living space, balancing large social areas with more private accommodation for extended cruising.

At the stern, twin fold-down bathing platforms and a central tender lift create a broad waterside terrace. Wide-opening doors connect the aft deck with the saloon, while a bar serves both areas.

Forward, a recessed exterior lounge extends the living space onto the foredeck, while the flybridge provides a separate area for sailing, dining and relaxing.

The owner’s suite is separated from guest and crew accommodation and incorporates Oyster’s triple Seascape windows. Three en-suite guest cabins are provided, along with dedicated crew quarters.

Offshore capability remains a key part of the design brief. The C60 offers up to one metre of bridgedeck clearance, together with substantial fuel and water capacity for longer passages and extended periods away from shore.

Typical propulsion comprises twin 110hp engines, while the sail plan includes a 122-square-metre mainsail and 112-square-metre genoa, giving an upwind sail area of 234 square metres.

Fuel capacity is 1,200 litres, with an additional 600 litres available as an option, while water capacity is 1,000 litres.

The main saloon opens directly onto the aft deck, creating a continuous indoor-outdoor living space aboard the C60.

C60 owners will also have access to Oyster’s established support network, including its Global Service Network, After Sales team, Bluewater Academy, Oyster World Rally, Oyster Explorers Club, regattas and other events.

The company is also developing dedicated multihull preparation and training programs aimed at helping owners transition confidently into catamaran ownership.

The Oyster C60 was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival on 9 September 2026. Preliminary specifications remain subject to change as the design and engineering program progresses.
