Maritimo Sailing Master Michael “Spiesy” Spies, will be lining up for his 47th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race at the helm of Maritimo Katwinchar. Just three weeks ahead of the Boxing Day start, Spiesy recounts impressions from his first race and what keeps him coming back for another crack.
At the 30-day mark before the 80th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, the annual line-up of skippers took place at the CYCA, and the tradition of comparing competitors and conditions commenced.
