Dutch brand, Saffier Yachts is celebrating a successful 2021, with a new factory and accolades for the new model.

The new Saffier Se 33 Life hit the water in the third week of September where she was extensively tested the brand’s home waters in IJmuiden.
The all-new model is already kicking goals. In August, the brand was nominated for the sixth time for the European yacht of the year with the new Saffier Se 33 Life.
Directly after finishing the sea trials she went to Barcelona to join the other nominees for the EYOTY. For four days she was tested by the international jury of the EYOTY resulting in a thumbs up from the jury members. The final awards will be presented at BOOT Dusseldorf in January 2022.
“It has been an incredible year for Saffier Yachts,” said Kay Heemskerk, Head Marketing & Sales.
“In early 2021, we won the European yacht of the year award for the Saffier Se 27 Leisure. A testimony to this design and with more than 100 units sold our customers clearly like the quality and her beauty as well.

“And now, a whopping number of 46 pre orders of the new Se 33 life takes delivery slots into 2023. The Saffier Sc line includes the Saffier Sc 8m Cabin and Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise which are going strong as well.
“All in all, we delivered 86 new Saffier Yachts in 2021, we have 124 orders for 2022 and 43 orders for 2023.”
Saffier Yachts has acquired one of the most iconic buildings in the industrial heart of IJmuiden.
With a total of 7000m2 of land and 4000m2 of buildings and equipped with 12 overhead cranes to lift 64 tons each, it is the perfect place to expand for Saffier yachts.
A total renovation in- and outside is taking place as we speak. The new Saffier Yachts yard will go in full operation mid 2022 where we will have place to build 35 Saffier Yachts at a time. A dedicated timberwork place, a design- and technology office, a high class sales area and an exclusive storage hall for all who wish our annually 360 degrees service for their Saffier.

“It is really exciting. It was imported for us to stay in IJmuiden which is located right on the North Sea coastline.
“We did investigate other cities but when this opportunity came along, we had to grab it. The building has a long-lasting history in IJmuiden, which I like. It was formally used to build parts of oil rigs. It could not be more suited to build yachts, it has everything we want.
“One of the many features will be an indoor water basin with sprinkler system so we can test our boats and shower them extensively to make sure that all is watertight.
“What is important to us is that we always look for ways to make the quality better, never the quantity. I believe with this new building we can make a next step towards an even higher level of quality combining the latest technologies which we now have place for in the yard to evolve.”

All sheets, halyards and trimlines are running underdeck back to the helmsman position to make singlehanded sailing a standard for this boat. This all in combination with the cockpit of the Saffier Se 33 Life which give you the space you need to relax prior, during and after your wonderful sail trip around the lake or bay.
To make the Saffier Se 33 Life suitable for everybody, Saffier has designed two interior layouts.
The family version of the Saffier Se 33 Life has four beds to stay overnight with the whole family. The toilet is easily accessible for using at day and night. In the galley you are able to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner. The special coffeebar gives you the opportunity to serve a perfect coffee wherever you are.
The saloon of the couple version is completely open with a lot of natural light from the iconic hull windows. When you step into the cabin you find all the comfort you need. There is a little coffee corner, a galley with running water and a closed toilet space, all situated in the aft of the saloon.
Furthermore you will find luxury seats with indirect lighting behind the backrest and a huge double bed in front. And of course, there is a lot of storage space.
The Saffier Se 33 Life is built according the latest high-tech construction using vacuum infused iso fiberglass with 15 mm hard core foam. Fiberglass around the keel section reinforced with roving to 25 mm thickness. 5 ribs laminated in keel section to transfer forces of keel loads.
Water and cove lines laminated in gelcoat. A large integrated hull window is fitted in each side of the hull.
The superyacht finish in the interior gives you the feeling of stepping into a five-star hotel room. The boat has everything you need inside.
From an integrated coffee bar on starboard to a stove and sink on portside and with the fridge underneath the sink you have everything within reach for a great dinner or lunch in the cockpit or inside the boat.
The Saffier Se 33 Life will be on show at Boot Dusseldörf 22 to 30 January 2022 in Germany.
