Atlantic race begins
The Ocean Race Atlantic fleet has begun its 3,000-nautical-mile transatlantic race from New York to Lorient, with Team Malizia leading the six IMOCA crews into challenging upwind conditions.
Equal on board
The Ocean Race Atlantic will break new ground when it starts from New York on 1 September, with all six IMOCA teams required to race with equal numbers of male and female sailors.
Atlantic finale
Around 9 September, the IMOCA boats are expected to arrive in Lorient La Base, the capital of offshore racing, after crossing the Atlantic from New York.
