Dee Caffari’s Turn the Tide on Plastic got an early jump on their Volvo Ocean Race rivals as Leg 7 from Auckland to Itajai entered its second day.

Turn the Tide on Plastic have added another four young sailors to their crusading campaign in the Volvo Ocean Race, with Welsh America’s Cup sailor Bleddyn Mon, fellow Briton Henry Bomby and Portuguese pair Bernardo Freitas and Frederico Pinheiro de Melo all joining Dee Caffari’s team for the 2017-18 edition.

Wardley turns the tide

Turn the Tide on Plastic skipper Dee Caffari has named her first crew member of the 2017-18 edition by signing up two-time Volvo Ocean Race veteran Liz Wardley.
